LET’S SAIL NEW ENGLAND!
Are you looking to do something different over the summer? We have some great specials going on with some beautiful Sailing Yachts in New England. New England is the perfect place to cruise through, stopping at the many islands for some sightseeing, clam-bakes, and fresh lobster.
Consider taking your family or a group of friends on one of our sailing yachts – and enjoy the experience of a lifetime!
This is what 7 days of your perfect summer could look like:
Day 1 – Arrive Newport, Rhode Island, the heart of the yachting culture! You will want to spend some time here to explore the shops and walk along Bowen’s Wharf, stopping at the Black Pearl for a fresh lobster roll and a cocktail. At night, take the yacht out for a sunset cruise and get a gorgeous view of the stunning and infamous Newport mansions on the water.
Day 2 – Just over an hour away, sail over to Block Island and enjoy the historical Victorian houses and shops. There are over 17 miles of white beaches to enjoy as well as bicycles to rent to tour the island. Perhaps the Captain will let you take the helm and you can learn to sail!
Day 3 – Head out early morning for a five hour cruise to Cuttyhunk Island which is the First English Settlement in New England. This gorgeous island is about a mile and ½ long and offers 3 stretches of sandy beaches and a Lookout Hill that you can climb for some nice views.
Day 4 – Less than an hour and ½ away, cruise over to Martha’s Vineyard and spend the day relaxing or shopping in Edgartown, with beautiful historic cobblestone streets. Enjoy sunsets on the beach with some fresh seafood!
Day 5 – Sail on over to Nantucket, one of our favourites! This was once one of the largest whaling ports, and the Whaling Museum is a great place to take the kids. Nantucket offers several art galleries and exhibits and has great little bars to venture into such as the Club Car.
Day 6 - Enjoy a nice leisurely cruise back to Newport.
Day 7 – Do some last minute shopping and enjoy the many festivals Newport has to offer in the summer time – jazz, folk music, wine, films and fine arts. Make sure you get your fill of fresh lobster and clam chowda’ from Bannisters’ Wharf! Or buy some fresh lobster from the docks and have your Chef prepare it anyway you like it !
