FALL into a colorful journey.

Fall is my favorite time for cruising. If you want to make colorful memories then Maine and New York are waiting for you  Whalewatching in Maine is good from July through mid October. Maine is drenched with museums and art gallerys. Tour the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller gardens, and enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride on the private Rockefeller roads in Acadia Park. You can visit lighthouses, meet up with lobster boats for their fresh catch and enjoy homemade fudge from the famous  Ben and Bills Chocolate Shop in Bar Harbor, Maine!  The puffns leave Maine in August but there is plenty of wildlife spotting. Eagles fly by, along with Ospreys, and my favorite the Loon. Have you heard the call of the loon? It is one you will never forget. The saying "Crazy as a loon" is named after this bird which stays in Maine all winter long.. Loons mate for life and if you are out in the evening fog you will hear a unique cry. The loon is calling for their mate. "Where are you?" another call will soon be heard as the mate replies " I am over here!"

Fly into Portland and meet the yacht there or in Rockland. Cruise up to Bar Harbor for a fabulous  journey.

Alternate route is a trip to the big apple and a  cruise up the Hudson River is certain to add a collorful backdrop in the upcoming weeks.

Ask me about my trip last month cruising from Rockland, to Bar Harbor, Maine. or perhaps you woudl like some of my  memories to share cruising up the Hudson with great stops in historic houses along the way.
