We recently returned from the Newport Charter Yacht show and had the opportunity to view and experience firsthand service and gastophonic delights on a variety of sailing and motor yachts available for charter. The Newport Yacht Show had many competitions amongst the crew which allowed for each yacht to shine in its unique way - from food and presentation, to tablescapes (table theme design) and overall yacht themes. 

Our day started with the Chef competition. Chefs received a mystery basket of food the night before which included sea bass and caviar. Pictured here is 130’ MY Endeavor’s plate, which placed 2nd.  For the yacht hop, 116 ft MY Renaissance featured a shark theme “Jaws” and the crew dressed up as characters from the movie (just some of the many things crew do for charter guests).  Elegant 141 ft. SY Columbia won the speciality cocktail competition and 86 ft MY Enterprise had the fans’ favorite table design - Star Trek Themed.
